Letos doesn’t support iCloud or CalDAV calendars yet.

T jumps to today, ← / → (or K / J) move back and forward. On the iPhone there’s also a 3 days view.
In Settings → Display (Calendar group) you set the default layout, week numbers, working hours and days, and how far into the future the calendar is stored.
Time format and first day of the week
In Settings → Display (group Time and week; on iPhone in Settings → Appearance) you set two things, with a Preview right below them.
- Time format: Follow system, 12-hour (AM/PM) or 24-hour.
- First day of the week: Follow system, Monday, Sunday or Saturday.
Both show up in the calendar (the hours in the grid, the row of days in the month and the mini month, the time in the event peek), in task times, in the date picker and in event reminders. The setting syncs across your devices. Follow system means Letos follows your device’s language and region; when it can’t recognise them, it uses 24 hours and Monday. Weekly goals and reviews always start on Monday.
Off-screen events
In the day and week views the grid has a fixed height, so a long day doesn’t fit whole. When an event is above or below what you can see, two small floating pills appear at the edge of the grid: ↑ N earlier at the top and ↓ N later at the bottom. Only an event entirely off-screen counts; a partly visible event doesn’t. Clicking a pill scrolls the grid to the nearest such event. In a narrow window there is also a one-line summary above the grid: N earlier · N later off-screen.
Event peek
Clicking an event opens a peek: time, place with a map link, guests, Join the call and My response. Edit opens the full form, Delete deletes the event (you can undo deleting a single event, but not a recurring one).
New event
New event (or the C key) opens the form: title, all day, from–to, duration, recurrence (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly), calendar, place, description and guests. Send invitations to guests decides whether guests get an invitation. Suggest a time finds a free slot in working hours over the next 7 days.
- By voice: the V key — hold the microphone and say something like “tomorrow at 15:30 meeting with Peter”. Letos shows a preview and creates nothing until you confirm it.
- Google Meet: for each calendar you can turn on automatically creating a Meet for new events.
- Task from an event: the event form has Create a task from the event.
- Right-click an event to duplicate it; you can also move it to another account’s calendar.
Invitations (RSVP)
Reply to an invitation in the event peek or right in the e-mail: Yes, No, Maybe. An invitation e-mail has an Event invitation bar with an Open in calendar button.
Which calendars you see
In the left panel, tick individual calendars or a whole account at once. The filter at the top switches between All events, Only my calendars and Only my events. Visibility syncs across your devices.
Holidays and name days
Built-in read-only calendars. They’re computed on the device, need neither internet nor a Google account, and never send notifications.
- Czech public holidays and Name days (Czech, as an all-day item “Name day: …”) — on by default when the app is in Czech, off when it’s in English. Public holidays aren’t shown by default if you already subscribe to Google’s Czech holidays calendar, so they don’t appear twice.
- Holidays of other countries — add them in Settings → Display → Holidays and name days → Add a country…. You can choose from the holidays of 244 countries for the years 2020–2040. For a few countries some years are missing; Letos says so next to the country.
There are also quick toggles in the left panel, in the Holidays and name days group.
Event reminders
Letos sends one reminder before each timed event, as far ahead as you choose. Reminders set on the event in Google aren’t used. All-day and declined events have no reminder.
- How many minutes ahead: Settings → Notifications → Remind about an event how many minutes ahead (0–180, default 10). It syncs across devices.
- On which device: Event reminders on this device — turn it on separately on each device.
- Computer and web: the reminder arrives while Letos is running.
- iPhone: reminders are scheduled by the system itself, so they arrive even when the app is closed (the next 48 reminders, at most 4 weeks ahead). The system first asks for permission to show notifications — see Notifications.
Meeting countdown (iPhone)
On an iPhone with iOS 18 or later, Letos shows a countdown on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island before a meeting with a video-call link (Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Webex, Whereby, Jitsi): the title, the time, In 12:34, Now once it has started, and a Join button that opens the meeting. Cancelled and declined meetings and all-day events get no countdown.
- When it appears: iOS lets only the app that is open right now start a Live Activity. So the countdown appears when you have Letos open (or open it) during the last 15 minutes before the start. It doesn’t appear on its own while the app is closed — that’s what the event reminder is for, and it keeps arriving as before.
- When it disappears: at the end of the meeting — but no later than 4 hours after the start, even if the event is scheduled to run longer. It disappears once Letos runs (even briefly in the background); if you reschedule, cancel or decline the meeting, it disappears on the next launch. Otherwise the system removes it later.
- If you swipe the countdown away, it won’t come back for that meeting.
- Turning it off: Settings → Notifications → Dynamic Island and Lock Screen → Meeting countdown (on by default, per device), or for all Live Activities in iOS Settings → Letos → Live Activities.
