Terms of service
Effective from: 10. 10. 2026
Who we are and what these terms cover
Letos is run by Ing. Lubomír Jiřišta, a self-employed sole trader (OSVČ) in the Czech Republic, business ID (IČO) 88628647, registered address Peřimov 3, 512 04 Peřimov, plátce DPH (“we”). Contact: [email protected].
These terms apply to the Letos app (macOS, Windows, Linux, iOS), the sync service (the “relay”), your Letos account and the letos.app website. By using the app or creating an account you agree to them. How we handle personal data is described in the Privacy policy.
What Letos is
Letos is the app for this year: tasks, calendar, mail and yearly goals in one tool. Mail, calendar and tasks are stored on your device. The app connects directly to your mail provider, not through us.
On desktop the app works without registration. You need an account for sync between devices and for paid plans.
Until 1 January 2027 Letos is invite-only: people on the waitlist get access gradually. Joining the waitlist does not entitle you to an invite or to a date.
The web version (app.letos.app) is not publicly available yet.
Invite-only (beta) phase
Until 1 January 2027 Letos is in an invite-only (beta) phase. It is work-in-progress software: it may contain bugs, features may change or disappear, and it may not always work everywhere. You use it at your own risk.
No warranty for data. During the beta we do not guarantee that your data will not be lost, corrupted or always available. A bug in the app, in sync or in an update may damage or delete data on your device or on the server. We recommend regular backups: keep your mail at your provider, export tasks and goals, and back up your device. Sync is not a backup.
Your e-mails stay with your provider. Letos works with a copy of your mail on your device. The originals remain with your provider (Google, Seznam.cz, etc.) unless you delete or move them in the app. Deleting or moving in the app is applied at the provider, so handle it with care.
Limitation of liability. The beta is provided “as is”, without any guarantee of availability or freedom from errors. To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for damage or data loss arising from use of the beta, and our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the last 12 months (zero for the free beta). This does not apply to damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, to personal injury, or where the law does not allow it, and it does not affect your statutory consumer rights.
Report bugs to [email protected]. Do not put data into the app whose loss would be unacceptable to you until you have your own backup.
Your account
When you register, use an e-mail address that is yours and works, and verify it. The account is personal. Keep your password and recovery code safe: sync content is encrypted with a key we do not have. If you lose both your password and your recovery code, we cannot restore the data stored on the server. The data on your devices stays.
Letos may be used by people aged 15 or over. Only someone who can enter into contracts on their own (usually 18+) may buy a subscription.
Plans and limits
Letos (free, forever): one mailbox, one device, no sync. Letos Plus and Letos Team add mailboxes, devices, sync and attachment storage. Local AI is included in every plan and will never cost extra. Current prices and limits are on the pricing page.
We may change prices and limits. A price change affects you from your next billing period at the earliest, and we tell you by e-mail in advance. If you disagree, you can cancel before it takes effect.
Until 1 January 2027, Letos Plus is free for everyone. After launch, existing users get 30 days of Letos Plus free.
Buying a subscription
You buy a subscription from our payment partner Paddle.com Market Limited, acting as the seller (merchant of record). Your purchase contract is with them, and their terms, shown to you at checkout, also apply to payment, receipts, tax and refunds. We then provide the Letos service itself under these terms.
Subscriptions are monthly or yearly and renew automatically until you cancel. The yearly plan is cheaper and is our default offer.
Prices for consumers (Free/Plus) are final and include any tax the payment partner collects on your behalf. Paddle, as the Merchant of Record, collects the tax according to the country you pay from. Letos Team prices for businesses are shown excluding VAT and VAT is added on top; business customers with a valid VAT ID are invoiced by Paddle under the reverse-charge mechanism.
Refunds and withdrawal
Within 30 days of any payment we refund the full amount, no reason needed. Write to [email protected] or ask the payment partner directly. The payment partner returns the money the same way you paid.
This period includes the statutory 14-day right to withdraw from a digital-service contract that consumers have in the EU. We do not limit your statutory rights.
After 30 days we do not refund the current period, but you can cancel at any time and no further payment will be taken.
Cancelling and the end of a subscription
Cancel at any time with the payment partner (the link is in its confirmation e-mail) or by e-mail to [email protected]. Paid features stay on until the end of the paid period.
When a paid plan ends, your mail, calendar and tasks are not deleted: devices and mailboxes over the free plan's limit are switched off and you choose what stays active. Once you renew, everything comes back except attachments that have already been deleted. The one exception: synchronized attachments over 100 MiB, the limit of the free plan, are marked for deletion (oldest first) when the paid plan ends and are deleted after 14 days (30 days for an account that only had Plus through the beta). Moving back to Plus or freeing up space before the deadline cancels the deletion. We warn you beforehand.
You can close your account at any time by e-mail to [email protected]. We delete the data on the server as described in the Privacy policy.
Your data and content
Your mail, calendar, tasks, goals and everything you create in Letos belong to you. We gain no rights to them and cannot read their content on the server.
Because your data lives mainly on your device, back it up. We are not liable for data loss caused by your device failing, being lost or wiped. Sync is not a backup.
You are responsible for the content you send through the app (e-mails, calendar invitations).
Acceptable use
You may not use Letos to break the law, send spam or harass anyone, attack our server or anyone else's systems, or get around plan limits by tampering with the app or the server. For proven abuse we may restrict or close the account, warning you first where possible.
Licence to the app
We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app for your own purposes (personal and work) within your plan. The app includes third-party open-source software under its own licences.
The Letos name and logo are ours.
Availability and changes to the service
The app works without internet and without our server. We aim to run the sync server reliably but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. When the relay is down, the app keeps working and a paid plan stays valid for another 14 days based on its last known state.
We will keep developing Letos: we may add, change or remove features. If we ever shut down the paid service entirely, we will tell you at least 60 days in advance and refund the unused part of what you paid. The app on your device will keep working with your data.
Liability
We provide Letos as is and take reasonable care to make it work. We are not liable for indirect damage or lost profit, and where the law allows, our liability is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months.
These limits do not apply to damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, to personal injury, or to the extent consumer protection law does not allow them.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Czech law. If you are a consumer in another EU country, you keep the protection given to you by the mandatory rules of your country.
If we cannot agree, as a consumer you can use out-of-court dispute resolution at the Czech Trade Inspection Authority. You can also go to court.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms, for example when the service or the law changes. We announce significant changes by e-mail at least 30 days in advance. If you disagree, you can cancel your subscription and close your account. The version with the effective date at the top applies.
