Getting started on the web

Step by step: signing in to the Letos web version in your browser, and what the web does and doesn't do yet.

~5 min

The web version is the same Letos app in your browser. You sign in with your Letos account and get mail, calendar and tasks with nothing to install.

For now we set up web accounts ourselves, together with invites. Ask for access on the Download page.

1. Open the web and sign in

  1. Open the web version in your browser (you get the link with your invite).
  2. Sign in with your Letos account e-mail and password. With two-factor authentication on, you also enter the Verification code.
  3. The app downloads your data and settings.

2. Use mail, calendar and tasks

It works the same as the desktop app:

Dragging an e-mail into tasks works here too: drop a message on Today at a glance (a task for today) or on Tasks in the top bar (a task in the Inbox).

What the web doesn’t do yet

  • OpenPGP — the Sign and Encrypt switches aren’t shown.
  • Local AI — on the web, AI only runs through your own API key. The key is stored encrypted on the Letos server, and Letos asks for consent before saving it the first time.
  • Agents (MCP) — the local connection is only in the desktop app.

Privacy of the web version

Unlike the desktop app, the web account’s data (including downloaded mail) is stored on our server, each account in its own database. More in Privacy under control.
